[Class 29] [Also in Group XIV] A tip-up shelf 14 of a domestic refrigerator is supported wholly from the cooling element 11 or from the covering of the wall opening of the cabinet through which the cooling element is introduced, or in part from the element and in part from the covering. Hook members 18 welded to the cooling element receive one side bar 15 of the grid shelf, forming a pivot, and a stay 16 formed as an extension of another side bar is adapted to abut against a stop member 20 on the rear of the cooling element or on the cover of the wall opening. The hooks 18 are shaped to provide bearings for the pivot' rod 15 at a sufficient distance from the cooling element to ensure that the shelf does not drop inadvertently when raised, and a clip 17 attached to the pivot rod engages below the forward hook 18 to prevent the shelf from being lifted off unintentionally.
