[Also in Group XXXII] In a caravan having retractable wheel gear (see Group XXXII), in which hydraulic jacks 8 are employed to raise and lower the wheels relative to the caravan chassis, a hydraulic system for controlling the jacks, includes a pressure gauge 25 which is preferably calibrated in hundred weights and pounds so that the caravan may constitute a mobile weighbridge and may if desired be suitably constructed for such purpose. As shown, the pressure gauge 25 is connected to a valve chest 17 in communication with the jacks 8 and by which pressure fluid from a hand pump 21 on the caravan, to the jacks, is controlled.
