Improvements in easel forming loose-leaf binder

A loose-leaf binder comprises an inner cover 15, 16 having a binding mechanism 10 attached to the spine thereof and a second outer cover 19, 20 hingedly connected to the inner cover along the edge 17, the inner cover having supports 23 cut out of or set into correspondingly shaped openings in the covers 15, 16 and hinged along edges 25 whereby the inner cover and contents may be supported at an incline relative to the outer cover. The supports are connected by a flexible or elastic tape 27, which is secured at an intermediate point to the spine of the outer cover, so that the supports are moved automatically to their supporting position when the covers are separated. Alternatively, tape having a hooked surface adapted to interlock when two pieces of such tape are pressed together, is used. A short section of this tape is attached at an intermediate point to the spine of the outer cover and interlocked with a second tape. attached to the supports 23, Fig. 6 (not shown).
