In a stowage for an inflatable life raft comprising two rigid members 5, 6 secured edge-toedge by means adapted to fail on expansion of the contained raft, a painter-line 25 for tethering the raft to a parent craft and a separate tripline 26 for the self-inflation mechanism of the raft are connected to opposite ends of a resilient plug 20 engaged between the edges 12 of the stowage members in a fluid-tight manner. The plug, which is accommodated in a rounded notch 16 formed in one or both of the members 5 and/or 6, is moulded around a metal link 22 whose ends are formed with slots 24 to which the painter and trip lines 25, 26 are connected.
