A heat storage opt. heat conducting object, contains spaces filled with selected heat storage substances or thermally conducting substances or elements in such a way that the specific thermal capacity and thermal conductance of the object are modified so that it operates according to a function predetermined to suit the temp. and local conditions. Specif. the melting points, eutectics, latent heats, transformation heats, etc. are so arranged by a choice of different substances and mixtures that the object can fulfil the desired heat storage function over a long period, e.g. up to several months, through various temp. changes.
