Title acids of formula (I) (where R is lower alkyl; X is O, S, NH or NHCH3; Y is H, F, Cl, Br or CH3, and Z1 and Z2 are H, F, Cl, Br, lower alkyl or alkoxy), and their salts with org. and inorg. bases, are prepd. by subjecting esters of formula (I) (where COOH is COOR1; R1 is lower alkyl) to saponification and opt. converting the reaction prod. into a salt with an org. or inorg. base.
