The equipment is also for free-flowing materials, being particularly for loading and unloading oil tankers. It has two boom pipes coupled by a swivel joint with a horizontal axis while the inner one also slews and derricks on a fixed vertical mounting, and has a rearwards extending pivoting arm with a tailweight.
