The wiper cylinder of a mono or polychromic plate printing machine comprises a rubber layer coated with several layers of plastisol in which the first (I) and last layer (II) have different compositions, these being as follows in pts. wt. PVC (I) 1000, (II) 1500; trioctylphosphate (I) 220-260, (II) 330-390); dioctyl sebacate (I) 110-130, (II) 160-200; polymeric plasticizer (II) 130-170; graphite (I) 12-18, (II) 40-50; CaCO3 (I) 12-18, (II) 40-50; Sn-based stabiliser (I) 8-12, (II) 12-18. These compns. have improved rheological pros. hardness and wiping characteristics.
