1341642 Chewing gum MIRLIN CORP 19 April 1971 [15 April 1970] 9988/71 Heading A2B A chewing gum composition comprises a chewing gum base and a miraculin product, derived from the fruit of Synsepalum dulcificum Daniell, substantially free of the components of the fruit which degrade miraculin, in an amount, preferably 0.1-50mg per unit dose, sufficient to modify the taste receptors, for example coated onto the base. A layer of acid may be provided below the miraculin coating. The product may have an alkaline coating, with which the miraculin may be mixed.
