The toy is contained in a casing (14) with three horizontal parallel shafts. The upper shaft carries a number of discs inscribed with letters on the periphery and one letter of each disc is visible through a row of small windows (15) in the casing. A similar set of discs is mounted on the lower shaft and display numbers through the windows (16). The shafts are driven by friction from an electric motor. A row of buttosn (18) are attached to pistons which normally prevent rotation of the corresponding pair of discs. Depressing the button releases the discs and allows the motor to rotate the pair. Releasing the button stops the disc rotation.
