The arms of the frame links lying in the longitudinal direction of the strap are thinner than the transverse arms, the dimension being also less than the width of the aperture in the elastic link. A non-stretch watch strap of this kind can be adjusted in length without tools. The frame links can be pushed into the transverse arms at an angle of 90 deg. By repositioning at 90 deg., the parts can be separated again. The slit in the arm is elastically opened when the link is pushed in or out and returns to its normal width after the shorting or lengthening process is completed. For further security of fixture steps can be provided on both ends of the arm having a depth equal to the width of the crossing side of the link.
