摘要
Themethod is for firearm bores corroded and eroded by gases resulting from powder combustion. An erosion bush is formed by joining together two pieces of identical geometry. The one piece is flat while the other piece has an erosion channel. Typically for a 20mm bore gun, the erosion bush has length of 40mm and the channel has depth of 0.3mm and width of 1.6mm. The bush is submitted to the action of gas which flows through channel in a manometric bomb possessing stopper plugs ensuring gas tightness, the two halves being held firmly in contact by a solid component of the bomb. The contact face of the first piece is then studied with a scanning electron microscope of a Castaing microprobe.
