The data which are transferred to the physical circuit system are checked by the checking device. The system components are connected to the physical circuit system. An additional control line is provided for the central checking device, which is influenced by the relevant system component which transmits data makes a decision whether the data transferred via a group of data lines should be checked for parity or not. Switching arrangements are provided on system components and will make the parity check ineffective via the control line by cutting-off the input lines. The activated switching arrangements close a gate.
