1413373 Clamps J MAIER 9 Jan 1973 [11 Jan 1972] 1227/73 Heading E2B A device for fixing an elongate member 2, such as a square section timber, to a formwork 3, comprises a supporting arm 5, one end of which is adapted to engage the member and the other end of which is adapted to engage the formwork, a clamping member 6 arranged to extend through the arm and one end thereof being connectible to the formwork, and a stop member 8, of wedge form, adapted, in use, to extend through the member 6 and engage the arm 5 on the side thereof remote from the end of the member 6 connectible to the formwork so as to urge the arm towards the formwork and. thereto fix the member 2 thereto. As shown, the member 6 is provided with two rows of staggered slots 6a for alternative reception of the member 8 and a bolt 9 having a cross-pin 9a for reception in a key-hole slot 10 in a rib 4 of the formwork. The arm 5 comprises two strips having at one end a number of angular recesses 17 and at the other fixed or pivoted angular member 14.
