The pressure vessel has a diaphragm secured to a clamping ring to act as a separation or discharge device for gaseous, fluid and/or solid materials. The ring (1) forms part of the vessel wall, being inserted between its halves (2, 3). - It has peripheral ribs (4) on the inside, securing the diaphragm (5) in place. The design gives economy of weight and simplicity of manufacture, and allows the ring to expand and contract with the vessel without generating stresses.
