The inclination facilitates sealing between the liner tube and the pressure-generating punch 2 and between the liner tube and the extrusion die. The inclination is greater than 1 : 20. The sealing is effected by a pair of mating metal rings 21, 26 which engage a support ring 18 provided with a frusto-conical surface 20 engaged with the inclined end surface of the liner tube.
