The phosphate ester may be tributyl phosphate or tricresyl phosphate. An additive composition comprising sodium salts of formaldehyde condensed naphthalene sulphonic acids, tributyl phosphate and sodium fatty acid soap is added to a mix comprising gravel, sand and Portland cement (Example 1) and to a mix comprising limestone chips, limestone dust and Portland cement (Example 2).
