1526323 Mobile folding stage SICO INC and K H WILSON 14 July 1976 [6 April 1976] 29200/76 Heading A6M A mobile folding stage comprises two stage surface members 10, 11 hingedly connected together for movement between an operative position (Fig. 1) and a folded position (Fig. 3), main support legs 40a, 41a pivotally mounted to the members 10, 11 so that the legs remain substantially upright with respect to the floor when the members 10, 11 are folded, wheels 122 carried by at least some of the support legs and control means (handles 114) for movement of the wheels between a retracted position short of the leg supports and a floor engaging position where they extend beyond the leg supports, the control means being independent of the folding of the stage. The legs may be telescopic for adjusting the height of the stage and additional leg supports may be provided at the middle of the stage. A locking device (Figs. 6 and 7 not shown) may be operatively connected with the hinge connection between members 10, 11 for locking the stage in its operative position and such device preferably incorporates a handle which in the unlocked state is in a position to prevent another stage being moved into abutment therewith. To assist in folding and unfolding the stage counter balance bias springs or torsion bars may be provided.
