The nozzle is particularly for introducing gas into a pipe transporting granular particles, e.g. a jet of superheated steam in a plant producing coke from coal, and consists of a sleeve (6), fixed to the pipe around a hole, supporting the nozzle (4) so that its downstream end is in the hole. A supply drilling (18) communicates with a gas discharge orifice (72) in the downstream face. The nozzle is secured in the sleeve by a cap nut (8) fitting round part of both their upstream ends, and the sleeve, in conjunction with the cap nut, maintains the downstream face of the nozzle in an exact and predetermined position on the pipe inner wall.
