DEVICE FOR OSCILLATING A ROTATINGBODY ALONG ITS ROTATIONAL AXISAbstractA rotating body, such as a pulley or a guide wheel,is oscillatable along its rotational axis. The rotating bodyis carried by a longitudinal support having a cam surfaceextending generally perpendicular to the rotational axis. Thesupport is mounted for rotation with a supporting shaft and isbiased along the rotational axis so that the cam surface engagesa stationary cam follower. Rotation of the shaft, support, andbody relative to the cam follower results in the oscillation ofthe rotatable body.
