The set of shelves has at least two vertical support structures (1, 2, 3) in which are openings into which fit horizontal shelves (4). Each support structure (1, 2, 3) is in the form of a ladder with closely spaced pairs of rings (61, 62). The space between the rings (61, 62) of each pair corresponds to the thickness of the shelves (4). The rings can have a square cross-section. At each corner of each shelf (4) is a hole (7) into which fits a pin (8) to lock the shelf in position.
