ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREIn the production of bent metal wire springs, thebent springs are taken individually from a bendingmachine and conveyed to an electrical heat-temperingmeans where they are heated by resistance heatingby passing a current through them. Then, while stillhot from the heat-tempering, they are immersed ina bath of thermoplastics material in powder formso that the material melts and becomes coated ontothe spring.
