Test instrument measuring spectral sensitivity of photodetectors - scatters light evenly via measuring sphere with quasi-ideal reflecting internal coating
A test instrument measures the spectral sensitivity of photo detectors. It consists of a device to produce a quasi-monochromatic light beam whose wave-length can be adjusted. There is a light distributor which scatters the light evenly on the detector specimen and onto a detector of known spectral sensitivity. The light distributor consists of a photometric measuring sphere (9) which integrates the beam. It has a quasi-ideal reflecting and scattering internal coating (10) and an entry hole (12). There are different size holes in the wall (11) for mounting the test specimens and the standard detector. The light is transmitted to the entry hole via a flexible light conductor (8).
