The stabilising circuit has an ac-coupled amplifier of variable gain and/or a voltage source is coupled in parallel with an ac-coupled amplifier. Two detectors sense positive and negative amplitudes respectively. The inputs of the detectors are connected to the output of the amplifier and their outputs are connected to two narrow-band amplifiers. The output of one narrow-band amplifier is added to the output of the ac-coupled amplifier in a differential amplifier. The output of the other narrow-band amplifier is connected back to the control input of the ac-coupled amplifier.
