PURPOSE:To prepare a highly nutritive baked food product suitable for drinking by boiling or suspending in hot water, having improved aroma and shelf stability, by steaming fresh leaves of the water oat, twisting them mildly and moderately, followed by drying under heating and baking. CONSTITUTION:Fresh leaves of the water oak is cut into proper size, usually about 1-2cm, steamed by sufficient amount of steam at about 100 deg.C for about 20-60sec and cooled quickly. The leaves are twisted mildly and moderately without removing water, and the prepared moderately twisted leaves are dried at about 70-110 deg.C for 20-40min fully. The resulting dried leaves are baked at 185-195 deg.C for about 2-3min, and the baked leaves are boiled for drinking, or granulated into powder and suspended in hot water, etc. for drinking.
