BLOOD CELL SENSITIZED WITH HYALURONIDASE FOR MEASURING HEMOLYTIC STREPTOCOCCAL HYALURONIDASE ANTIBODY AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To produce the subject sensitized blood cells capable of detecting a hemolytic streptococcal hyaluronidase antibody easily with high sensitivity and cheap cost, by coupling hemolytic streptococcal hyaluronidase to red cells processed by a coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:Live red cells or fixed red cells are processed using a coupling agent such as tannic acid to obtain blood cells processed by the coupling agent. A solution containing purified hyaluronidase is brought into contact with the blood cells to obtain a hyaluronidase-sensitized blood cells. In order to preserve the thus obtained sensitized blood cells for a long period of time, the sensitized blood cells using as red cells fixed red cells are suspended in the preserving solution so as to be preserved or is preserved by freeze-drying the same together with a protecting agent.
