Process for resolving DL-S-benzoyl-p-mercaptoisobutyric acid into the optical antipodes by means of D-(+)-N-benzyl-a-phenethylamine, and D(-)-S-benzoyl-β-mercaptoisobutyric acid itself as well as its salts, esters or derivatives obtained by applying this process.
