Crop drying method for haymaking - uses press to extract juice after harvesting and uses stalks as fuel for drying

The method of drying a crop, suitable for lucerne, uses a certain proportion of the harvested material as fuel for drying. After harvesting, the material is comoressed, so as to obtain a concentrate containing protein from the juice extracted. The portion of the material to be used as a fuel is taken from the compressed portion. The leaves and tips are removed from the harvested croo and used for hay, while the stalks, which contain less foodstuff, are used for the combustible part. The method uses a mowing machine, a oreparation machine, a press, a combustion chamber and a suitable dryer.
