Reinforcing mat spacer for concrete structure - has welded connecting vertical bar protruding beyond lower of two lengthways bar

Two lengthways bars (1), at an interval one above the other, are held in place by vertical bars (2) welded on, in a space- retainer for use in reinforcing mats in concrete. The vertical bars protrude beyond the bottom lengthways bar, and lengthways bars are bent or curved, through between 30 and 120 deg. The protruding sections of the vertical bars pref. deviate from the right-angled direction, and can also be bent out of the line of the lengthways bars. Some sections (4) of lengthways bars may be twice as long as others (3), and they can run at right angles to each other.
