PURPOSE:To obtain a thermocouple sealed in a metallic capillary by providing a temp. measuring contact made by inserting one piece of metallic wire into a metallic capillary for an injection needle measuring bodily temp. by being inserted into a human body and connecting the same and providing an auxiliary temp. measuring contact in a suitable position on the outer side of the metallic capillary. CONSTITUTION:A constantan wire 2 is inserted into a capillary 1 made of metal such as stainless steel and is connected at the point J to provide a temp. measuring contact. A constantan wire 3 and a metallic wire 4 are connected at the outer point Js of the capillary 1 to provide an auxiliary temp. measuring contact. With such constitution, the thermoelectric characteristics of the wire 3 are made approximate to the thermoelectric characteristics of the capillary 1 by maintaining the points Q1, Q2, Qs at the same temp., or the distance between the point Js and the point J is decreased and the point Js is determined at the position where the insertion of the injection needle is not hindered. As a result, the potential difference between the points Q2 and Q1 is made zero and the temp. of the point J is measured by determining the potential difference between the point Qs and the point Q1.
