ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThere is disclosed a prosthesis comprisinga prosthetic element and a polymethylmethacrylate filmfixedly adhered thereto. The prosthesis comprises asurface adapted to be fixedly attached to bone and bearsa polymethylmethacrylate film upon the attachment sur-face. The polymethylmethacrylate film is adhered tothe prosthetic element by a process which comprisestreating the prosthetic element surface to eliminateany weak boundary layer, applying polymethylmethacryl-ate to the treated surface, and thereafter annealingthe polymethylmethacrylate film.
