A device for the adjustment of a vehicle seat, the device comprising a wedge-shaped intermediate member 6 having on each side of the seat a U-section lower wedge rail 2 engaging with a U-section stationary floor rail 1, and a U-section upper wedge rail 4 engaging with a U-section seat rail 5. The intermediate member 6 is lockable relative to the vehicle floor, and the vehicle seat is lockable relative to the intermediate member 6.
