The invention relates to a hand- operated fire extinguisher, which has a pressure indicator for visualizing the pressure condition of the liquid, gaseous or powdery extinguishing medium and propellant in its tank and a ball pivot closing device for closing and regulating the flow of media. The invention relates furthermore to pressure indicator for apparatuses operated with pressurized liquid, and/or gaseous or powdery medium, mainly for hand-operated fire extinguishers. It has a membrane arranged in instrument housing, one side of which is connected with the interior of the fire extinguisher's tank, while on the other side of the instrument housing a closed space is arranged partially filled with fluid subjected to the pressure to be measured with the aid of a membrane.
