The device has a cannula (11), the distal section of which can be inserted in the bladder (31) through the male urethra and can be fixed in the bladder by expandable means (13). For reliable collection in the drainage system of all the urine flowing out through the urethra, an elastic hood (14) having a fixing section for application to the end of the penis and concentrically arranged with an outflow orifice (15) around the outflow end of the cannula (11), and a drainage arrangement (20) having a central drainage tube (23) and two branched tubes (21, 22) communicating with the latter, are provided. The first branched tube is connected to the outflow orifice (15) of the hood (14).
