The sections are supple pierced envelopes that allow filling with a mixture of water and solid material injected under pressure. The bottom sections (A,B etc) have a flat projection on one side and a pair of lip projections on the other. The latter are nipped onto the flat projecton of the adjacent section. The top sections (F,G etc) have sockets in their bases and dowels in their tops. The dowels of one course fit into the sockets of the course above. Both sockets and dowels are hollow so that a tensioning cable (4) can pass through them.
