A device for the multiple positioning of objects in two clear, spaced-apart positions, e.g. an operating position and an ineffective position, preferably for the extra equipment of a head guard or protective helmet with ear protectors, a microphone, etc., has a body made of resilient material which is clamped near to one of its ends between two preformed clamping members, by means of which, when it is attached to a fixed support, such as the shell of a helmet or the like, the object attached to the other end of this body can be brought into a first clear position (operating position) and, under the effect of a sufficiently strong outer force, tripping of the body and thus of the object attached to it into a second clear position (ineffective position) can be achieved. The device is preferably produced in such a way that, in a first stage in a multi-stage tool, the body of the device is punched out of a blank, in a second stage the body is bent and/or impressed in the required manner, and, in a third stage, the impression is then stretched and simultaneously flattened.
