PURPOSE:To execute EOD control even if a fault is generated by providing a storage area for storing an EOD address of an optical disc in a control device, a collating means of the stored address and a memory for storing the EOD address in an optical disc device. CONSTITUTION:A control part 4 retrieves a storage circuit 2 to extract the address of the EOD of the optical disc. On the other hand, the optical disc device 6 is actuated and a processing part 7 writes additional data in the optical disc. The written EOD address of the optical disc is stored in a memory 8. A control part 4 collates both the addresses in the memory 8 and the storage circuit 2 by a collating circuit 5. In case of mismatching, the circuit 5 informs the result to the control part 4. The control parts 4 displays the error and waits for an operator's instruction. Consequently, the EOD control of the optical disc device has many merits especially for data addition.
