The fuel pipe (2) from the lift pump is joined to a connecting piece (5) by a ring nut (3). The connecting piece (5) is joined to the fuel injection pump (28) fuel intake by a nut (6). The connecting piece contains a sprung peg (9) and a fuel check valve (13). A magnetic coil surrounds the connecting piece, the coil is provided with current by use of an electronic key. The electronic key consists of two parts with the key forming one part, and the lock the second part. The key has inbuilt resistances which match up with lock resistances to complete the output tension required to excite the solenoid.
