The door check comprises fixedly mounted bracket (1) and a pivotally mounted check arm (e), one each mounted to either a door or door pillar. The bracket carries a spring bar (14) which biases bracket- mounted rolers (12,13) towards each other. The spring bar comprises a leg (15) having a bent portion (17) at one end and a free end (19) secured to the bracket. A leg portion spaced from the free end mounts the first roller and remains parallel to the second roller axis as the leg deflects.
