A switching element is provided which lies in the supply current circuit of the solenoid (6), and is arranged so that it is opened, with a limited movement of the door in the closing direction, and one sensor under certain circumstances interrupts the current supply circuit of the solenoid. The armature (5) is spring mounted at the arm (3) of the door closer (2), so that the limited movement of the door in the closing direction is possible, without the armature being released by the solenoid. The switching element is arranged to be operated, with the limited movement of the door in the closing direction across the arm of the door closer. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for cupboard and normal doors. Without considerable constructional alterations can be provided with standard door closers.
