The invention relates to a conveying device 1 of the carousel type. This carousel conveys compartments 2 on a closed circuit 22 between a point of introduction 19 and a point of emptying 6. Objects 4 are thus transported from introduction stations (outposts) 4 towards receptacles 8. For a given flow rate, the device improves the synchronisation tolerances on introduction and on emptying. To this end, the carousel revolves in a vertical plane, the introduction stations are superimposed on one another in a vertical front opposite vertical branches of the carousel. The improvement of the introduction tolerances is then proportional to the distance separating two successive compartments and no longer to the width of the compartments themselves. The compartments have a V-shaped profile in order better to satisfy this requirement and to be more easily emptied. IMAGE
