PURPOSE:A cell hybrid is cloned and the clone which produces an antibody showing specificity to rice dwarf virus is selected and cultured to expand the kinds of monoclonal antibodies to plant viruses. CONSTITUTION:An animal is immunized with rice dwarf virus and the resistance productive cell from the animal is fused with myeloma cell to form fused cell hybrid and the cell is cloned. Then, the clon producing antibody showing specificity to rice dwarf virus is selected and cultured to obtain monoclonal antibody to rice dwarf virus. The fused hybrid is obtained by fusing the cell producing antibody to rice dwarf virus from the animal with myeloma cell.
