The invention relates to gas-heated appliances, especially gas-fired space heaters. The aim of the invention is to reduce the energy requirement of the ignition burner. According to the object of the invention, the energy coupling of the components ignition burner, thermocouple, ignition electrode and main burner is to take place with minimum energy cost, i.e., only so much gas is to be supplied to the ignition burner as to ensure that the valve of the thermocouple ignition safety device remains open. Furthermore, the life of the thermocouple and of the ignition electrode, and safety are to be increased by short closing times of the ignition safety valve, and the liability to failure is to be reduced by the prevention of the formation of soot bridges. The solution according to the invention provides that the abovementioned components are arranged on a common support plate such that the flame outlet metal sheet of the main burner is connected to a bushing which simultaneously fastens the main burner to the support plate and supports the thermocouple, and the mounting of the tip of the thermocouple takes place such that its heating by the ignition burner and the main burner in common is facilitated.
