This invention relates to a processing method which gives softness to woolen goods. Woolen goods are processed with a resin composition, and then this is soaked in an acidmixt. at 80C for 10-30min. The acid mixt. is composed of 3wt. parts of 68% nitric acid and 1wt part of 34% hydrochloric acid. After the soaking, the woolen goode are wahsed, neutralized, dehydrated, dried, and then set by steam setting method to give final products.
