Electric driving device for curtains, blinds or the like, having a driving motor (2) in driving relationship with a cable pulley (8) which is provided to be engaged with a cord used to open and close the curtain, and with a device for automatically disconnecting the electric motor in at least one terminal position of the curtain. The present device is characterized in that the disconnecting device has at least one limit switch incorporated in the driving device and detecting if, during the operation of the motor, a stop element arranged on the cord is positioned against a stop. The extension of the cord may thus be neglected.
