ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA condom comprises an elongated generally tubular member of thin,flexible material and having an elongated opening provided along atleast a substantial portion of the length of the elongated tubularmember so as to faciliate placing the elongated tubular member overa flaccid penis. The elongated tubular member may contain a plurality ofcompartments, each of which contains rheopexic material so that thecondom stiffens in use. A slide fastener (such as a zipper) closure is provided forclosing the elongated opening after placing the condom on a flaccidpenis. Further disclosed is an elongated generally tubular membercontaining rheopexic material for use as an implanted penile prosthesiswhich stiffens upon agitation.
