Spoon for young children, in which the spoon handle (1) is arranged in relation to the spoon ball (2) such that, with the spoon ball held horizontally and open at the top, it extends obliquely downwards from the spoon ball. This ensures that the spoon ball containing the food remains substantially in the horizontal position when the child moves the spoon, gripping it in its hand, to its mouth. To further adapt the movement of the spoon to the mouth to the child's hand position and movements, the spoon ball can be bent by approximately 30 to 45 degrees to either side in relation to the spoon handle.
