METHOD OF SUPPRESSING VIBRATION SEISMIC SIGNALCORRELATION NOISE;ABSTRACTA method of seismic prospecting in which there isemployed conventional upsweep and downsweep and opposedpolarity of signals that are being sent into the earthas seismic signals and in which there is introduced a taperat the common frequency at the common time on the respectiveupsweep and downsweep signals to reduce the most significantpart of the correlation noise, yet provide the advantages ofeach of the methods of using opposite phase polarity, tocancel and using opposite upsweep and downsweep to achievereduction in the noise experienced, as well as the reductionof the most significant part of the correlation noise thatdistorts the desired zero-phase Klauder wavelet.
