PURPOSE:To ease the maintenance work of a mask attaching/detaching equipment by detecting the slippage quantity of a panel pin with a spring hole as a basis, and relatively moving a mask and a panel to correct the slippage quantity of the panel pin. CONSTITUTION:The position measuring of a mask M is made by advancing a mask positioning pin 12 and inserting the pin 12 in the spring hole M2 of a mask spring M1. Next the picture image of a panel pin P1 is recognized with a camera 14, and picture processing is made to calculate the position slippage of the pin P1. Then a positioning roller is moved by the position slippage part of the pin P1. After that the height measuring of the mask is made, and an elevating plate 4 is raised with a elevating mechanism 3 to insert the mask M in a panel. The end part of the pin P1 is detected with a height measuring panel pin detection sensor during the action mentioned above, and the elevation mechanism 3 is stopped by the signal. This completes the height measuring of the mask M to the panel. Then a mask hole M2 enters in the panel pin P1 to mount the mask M on the panel.
