METHOD FOR INSERTING CERAMIC PARTS AS INTERNAL CHILL

PURPOSE:To enable inserting as internal chill while surely preventing the development of a crack in the case of inserting the ceramic parts having complicated shape by arranging a solid material into a thick forming part, where casting metal forms the thick part, in a cavity. CONSTITUTION:A forked cylindrical-shape exhaust port 12 having a fork part 121 is prepared, and this is incorporated into a core molding mold for a casting and molded as the core 1 together with molding sand 11 and set in the cavity 30 of the mold 3. The solid material 4 is set into the thick forming part 301 in the cavity 30. The thick forming part 301 is adjacent to the fork part 121 in the exhaust port 12 and is the part, where the casting metal 20 forms the thick part. By taking out the molding material and removing and cleaning the molding sand 11 of the core 1, this is completed.
